I help people become more thoughtful, ethical, and strategic communicators. Leaders who are grounded, not just practitioners who are skilled.
As a professor, department chair, and graduate program director at Belmont University, I work at the intersection of strategic communication, leadership, and meaning-making. I believe communication is the systemic process of creating meaning, and leadership carries the responsibility of stewarding that meaning wisely.
My teaching, scholarship, and program leadership focus on strategic planning, communication strategy, leadership development, and emerging technologies—especially the human implications of AI and digital communication. I’m particularly interested in how leaders align mission, message, and culture in complex organizational environments.
I care deeply about excellence, stewardship, and helping people align what they communicate with who they are and what they’re called to build.
